  • Description: The purpose is learning theories and methods about sustainability, data and digitalization
  • Location: Campus Ballerup
  • Prerequisites: The enrolment requirements are: - a relevant qualifying examination at minimum the level of a business academy examination or a relevant further adult education. - a least two years' work experience after finished qualifying examination.
  • Scope and form: Lectures: 4 days 9am-3pm during three months.

    Written project assignment. The assignment can be completed individually or in a group of 2 or 3 students. It must be clearly stated in a table who has contributed on what if there is more than one student.

  • Objectives: A student who has met the objectives of the course will be able to:
    - To understand EU's directive for sustainability reporting (ESRS)
    - Understand how ESRS impacts reporting processes, including the daily business processes and suppliers' environmental impacts
    - Understand the relevant sustainability dimensions and parameters (for the grren part of sustainability)
    - Understand how data and digital technologies (e.g. Industry 4.0 technologies) can support reporting, strategic decisions and business models
    - Explain how data and digitalization drive innovation, business development and sustainable transformation
    - Describe the life cycle phases and the processes in the life cycle of a product system
    - Apply principles of sustainability in product and process development (including the UN world goals for sustainable development)
    - Explain environmental impacts according to different impact categories
    - Identify which life cycle phases of a product are responsible for the environmental hotspots (main impacts)
    - To plan and lead digital transformation strategies
