Objectives: | A student who has met the objectives of the course will be able to: - To understand EU's directive for sustainability reporting (ESRS) - Understand how ESRS impacts reporting processes, including the daily business processes and suppliers' environmental impacts - Understand the relevant sustainability dimensions and parameters (for the grren part of sustainability) - Understand how data and digital technologies (e.g. Industry 4.0 technologies) can support reporting, strategic decisions and business models - Explain how data and digitalization drive innovation, business development and sustainable transformation - Describe the life cycle phases and the processes in the life cycle of a product system - Apply principles of sustainability in product and process development (including the UN world goals for sustainable development) - Explain environmental impacts according to different impact categories - Identify which life cycle phases of a product are responsible for the environmental hotspots (main impacts) - To plan and lead digital transformation strategies |
