  • Description: That the student achieves an overall knowledge of Industrial Design, its importance and relevance to product development, taking into account user groups, markets, product differentiation and positioning. That the student learns to specify and manage the industrial design process, as an integral part of the product development process.

    Oral exam based on completed assignments. All compulsory tests must be submitted to be nominated for the examination
  • Objectives: A student who has met the objectives of the course will be able to:
    - Describe and explain the importance of Industrial Design in relation to concept development
    - be able to identify an industrial design style and discuss it in relation to specific product proposals
    - be able to understand and explain the importance of Industrial Design as an integral part of the complete product development process
    - be able to select a design proposal taking into account the design's level of fashion and the product's estimated lifetime
    - be able to classify and illustrate different design styles in relation to user group and culture
    - be able to prepare a design brief in connection with the procurement and purchase of Industrial Design Services
    - be able to advise a client on choosing Industrial Design activity
    - be able to organize and run an Industrial Design process in connection with product development
